Well, lately I've just been slammed in the face with a brick by life. Starting a new job, with a new schedule to get down, trying to keep up with school work in my Perspective Class & a few other things that have just had me on the ropes as of late. I'm finally to the point where I think I'm getting a handle on all of this stuff & can get back to not only doing the school work on a normal basis but get back to doing projects for myself to alleviate all the extra stress & with any luck get back to looking for a person to share my life with. On that note, it's a lot harder to find someone who loves anime & art than I thought lol. Here's to getting things back to normal with this New Year & having things go from bad to better for once!
Yeah most of the time I just draw w/o looking at anything. I sketch out a lot of my own characters, similar to what it seems you do, which are taken from a series of books I've written, so most of the time I'm not looking at any type of reference when I work on something. Most of the anime characters I've done were also done without looking a something specific. If I need to make sure I have a detail right or something like that, I will check for that, but otherwise I don't these days. When I was just learning how to do people I referenced quite a bit, but it's something I've sort of phased out with time & practice.
